Besides building websites for others, we have built a few for ourselves over the years, we call them our 'sand-box' (see links to the right). We have learned so much over the past decade that we are truly confident when we pass our services onto you. The websites we build are as good as any other out there on the market today, there is no doubt. We also have a thriving webinar company, a Chinese medicine social/info site, as well as a online professional development portal. We are a grass roots company that grew out of desire and passion, not opportunity and financing. There are 4 of us that call West TCM 'ours', Spence, Ryan, Eric, and LOrne (yes, we spell it with a capital 'O' for clarity!). We all live within the reaches of beautiful Vancouver Canada.

Spence Todd Pentland: co-founder, co-director

Spence's passion for online marketing has fueled more than a decade of self-guided research into primarily SEO & online social networking. He has been actively working in the wellness industry since 1998. Currently a board licensed doctor of traditional Chinese medicine.

Ryan David Funk: co-founder, co-director

Ryan was drawn to the world wide web through his desire to help educate the public on obtaining a greater level of health. What better way to reach our Global community than through the internet ! He drives towards the goal of creating the most educational and user friendly websites available on the net. As a graduated Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a fellow of the American Board of Reproductive Medicine Ryan continues towards upholding excellence in on-line development and public education.

Eric Vander Wal: Web Development

Eric Vander Wal started designing websites in 1996 when the internet was still young in the eyes of the public. Over the past 13 years he has designed over 100 websites in four languages and three continents. Eric’s focus over the past 4 years has been the Drupal content management system, one of the largest advances in internet usability of the decade. He continues to use Drupal and other tools of the trade for a variety of small to mid sized businesses to date. Eric is passionate about seeking innovative software and seems to be ahead of the cusp.

LOrne Marvin Peterson: php programmer

Lorne holds a degree in English Literature, but the computer skills he has taught himself over the years seem to be his true vocation. Four years doing in-depth Technical Support for one of the premier e-learning software providers have left him with the skills and patience needed to troubleshoot web application problems, as well as the knowledge needed to provide inovations in the field. He is proficient with PHP, Perl, Javascript, CSS, HTML, and probably a few other capital letters. Over the past few years, he has been specializing in develop-ment and deployment of websites using the Drupal Content Management System. A family-oriented fellow, Lorne has been working from home since the conception of his youngest daughter (the fifth child in the family). He lives in the temperate rainforest on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, a short walk away from the Ocean.
